The fitting of an RFID tag on a surgical instrument has been subject of research in ASANUS Medizintechnik GmbH for more than 20 years. The ASANUS Medizintechnik GmbH commands a unique know-how in instrument material, joining techniques, cutting, and manufacturing, combined with decades of software development in Sterile Goods Logistics. splintTag utilizes the worldwide established RFID technology. With splintTag the instrument is uniquely marked; it acquires an identity. ASANUS is the first manufacturer integrating this technology into surgical instruments. Thereby not only instruments can be marked with an RFID tag, also Sterile Goods Containers and Sterile Goods Transport Carts. The processing of the RFID technology we enable with ARIS, an integrative part of the ASANUS Sterile Goods Logistic Software.

Surgical mechanics with the most sensitive fine motor skills manufacture our surgical instruments in the traditional manner from selected materials of the best quality. We manufacture according to our own very high quality standards in measurement tolerances that are considerably more precise than the generally accepted standards.
