ZEN Knee
The ZEN Knee system is a highly congruent surface replacement for cemented, cementless or hybrid use. It consists of four components, that are available in several variations: a femoral component, an insert, a rotating or fixed tibia and a patellar component. The implant system was developed and tested according to the latest state of the art technology and has received European MDR certification.
The implant components of the ZEN Knee system facilitate transmission of an optimal level of power into the adjoining bones and are designed for a surgical technique that is as sparing of bone as possible.
Form and dimensions of the ZEN Knee implants are based around the natural anatomy of the knee. Each component is available in six sizes in order to adjust to the individual conditions of each patient.
The range of motion in flexion is over 110° when using an ultra-congruent insert. The standard insert allows an even greater range of motion.
All UHMWPE components (inserts and patella) contain a pin made from implant steel (ISO 5832-1) for better visualisation during imaging procedures.
Expersus hip stem
The Expersus stem is a hip stem prosthesis that allows either the cemented or the cementless version of the stem to be inserted with one instrumentation.
In the cemented version, the Expersus stem is made of implant steel (5832-9) and in the cementless version, the Expersus stem is made of a titanium Ti6Al4V (ISO 5832-3). The stem is equipped with a 12/14 taper and can be combined with both metal and ceramic femoral heads.
The cemented Expersus hip stem has a smooth satin finish, while the neck area is completely polished. In the cementless version the stem is fully coated with a titanium plasma spray and hydroxyl apatite except for the polished neck area.
For the different femoral anatomies of the patients, up to 10 sizes are available in CCD angles 125° and 135°.
For both the cemented and cementless versions, this results in a broad spectrum for reconstructing the natural joint geometry based on the biomechanical parameters of centre of rotation, leg length and CCD angle.
Primaro hip cup, cementless
The Primaro cup is a modular acetabular hip cup made of a biocompatible TiAl6V4 (ISO 5832-3). The Cup is available in three different variants. One version is available with a rough blasted surface. Besides that we offer the Primaro Cup with a Titanium Plasma Spray (TPS) coating and a TPS+BONIT coating for cementless anchoring in the acetabulum. The size spectrum ranges from 44 to 68 millimeters outer cup diameter.
The Primaro cup is available with screw holes, that are are closed when delivered. If required, self-tapping flat-head screws are available to improve the fixation of the outer shell in the acetabulum. Position markings on the plane surface of the cup allow the screw holes to be aligned in the cranio-lateral direction.
Depending on the inlay type, sizes 28, 32 and 36 millimeters are available to hold femoral heads.
Inlays made of UHMWPE (ISO 5834-2) as well as ELEC plus inlays made of ceramic and BIOLOX® delta inlays made by CeramTec (ISO 6474-2) can be considered as sliding partners with the femoral head.
We offer inlays in in XL-PE. These are made of highly cross-linked UHMWPE. A dysplasia variant of the polyethylene inlays is also available.
Bipolar head
The Bipolar head is particularly suitable for the treatment of femoral neck fractures and functions as a direct sliding partner with the acetabulum.
The principle of the bipolar head with different centers of rotation for the head and the outer shell has been established for years as the standard in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. Different centers of rotation for the femoral head and outer shell of the Bipolar Head lead to a self-centering of the implant.
The acetabular cartilage is protected in the best possible way due to the large contact area and the highly polished metal surface of the bipolar head. The removable locking ring connects the bipolar head to the femoral head and provides optimal protection against dislocation.
Müller straight stem and Müller ll cup
Müller Straight Stem
CoCrMo (ISO 5832-4), cemented
The Müller Straight Stem is a hip endoprosthesis for cemented anchoring in the femur that has been successfully implanted for decades and is one of the most frequently used cemented implants worldwide.
Made of CoCrMo (ISO 5832-4) and equipped with a 12/14 cone, the Müller Straight Stem can be combined with both metal and ceramic femoral heads.
A standard and a lateral version are available in 11 sizes each. The stems differ in length and offset. The CCD angle of 135° is the same for all stems. The fine groove structure supports good cement adhesion. Optionally available cement stoppers limit the cement depth.
The fine structuring of the implant surface increases its size and optimizes anchorage with bone cement. The modular design of the system allows optimal individualized treatment of the patient, even at an advanced age.
The Müller straight stem allows a primarily stable loading situation, especially in „softer“ bone, and can thus enable early mobilization of the patient. It also covers a wide range of indications and can be used for almost all primary cases and also for revisions.
Mueller II Cup
UHMWPE (ISO 5834-2), cemented
The Mueller II cemented polyethylene acetabular cup supports the cemented restoration of the acetabulum.
With its wide range of internal and external sizes, the Mueller II cup covers a very wide range of indications. For optimal adaptation of the cup to the damaged acetabulum, the Mueller II cup is available with an outer diameter in increments of two millimeters.
The minimum wall thickness of 6 mm is given for all sizes. The special hemispherical outer contour of this cup allows the best possible cement flow between the acetabulum the cup with minimal bone loss. To ensure radiographic visibility, all implants are equipped with a ring made of implant steel (ISO 5832-1).
The dysplasia variants additionally contain a notch and a radiographic pin at the highest point. In order to prevent dislocation of the hip joint, the internal contour of the cup in the snap version was developed so that the connection with the femoral head can only be released with considerable force.
An instrument set adapted to this implant ensures a safe surgical procedure
